Safely sending user data

Modified on Mon, 18 Sep, 2023 at 12:34 PM

Many of the applications we work with depend on user data. After all, on the basis of this data, users are created in the application and the system knows to which e-mail address information must be sent. For this reason, it often happens that we exchange personal data with each other, for example during an initial read-in action when you start using the system for the first time, or periodically during updates of that data as the system is used longer. We exchange this information with each other so that we can fill or update the application with the information from your organization.

Due to their confidential nature, it is very important to handle this information with great care. In the Netherlands, personal data is also protected by law through the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Personal data must be protected against, for example, loss and unlawful use. Courseware is ISO 27001 certified, which independently demonstrates that we handle personal data securely. However, when you send personal data to us, we obviously have no control over the way in which this is done. That is why we would like to inform you about the safe way to send personal data to us.

Examples of personal data are:

  • User files (import files);
  • Reports;
  • Export of databases;
  • Screenshots containing personal data.

E-mail is by definition unsafe, and therefore sending personal data via e-mail is not the appropriate method for this. For a secure transfer of personal data, log in to our portal and create a ticket in which you share the personal data with us. All information is then always protected. Always place personal data in a file (Excel, CSV) and not in the body of the request, so that the personal data does not appear in the content of the e-mail message in further communication.
