Removing Team Members and Managing Content in Articulate 360 (Rise)
When someone leaves your Articulate 360 team (e.g., a colleague who is leaving the company), you want to avoid losing any content. In Articulate 360, you can not only remove team members but also safely transfer their modules and projects to another author.
Here’s how it works.
1. Open the Team Overview
Go to your Account Settings and click on Manage Team to see the list of team members.

2. Select the Team Member
Click on the name of the person you want to remove. This opens the side panel Edit permissions.
Tip: If you have admin rights (Primary admin / 360 admin), you can also select multiple people at once using the checkboxes.
3. Click Remove from 360
At the bottom of the side panel, you will find the option Remove from 360. This starts the removal process.

4. Transfer Content (Important!)
If the person had creator rights (i.e., created modules), you need to transfer their content to someone else. To do this, select the new owner under Transfer to (this can be a colleague or yourself).
- You can search by typing the first letters of the name.
- The new owner must have creator rights.
Do you also want to transfer the personal content of that user (not just the shared modules)? Check Include personal content.
5. What If the New Owner Is Not in the Team Yet?
You’ll need to do the following first:
- Invite them to the team.
- Give them Creator rights.
- Only then can you transfer the content to them.
They must accept the invitation before you can proceed.
6. No Available Licenses?
If you temporarily need to add someone to transfer content but there are no free seats available, you can:
- Temporarily deactivate someone else.
- Expand a seat.
- Complete the transfer and then clean up afterward.
(There’s a workaround where you can swap seats, but that depends on your licensing structure.)
7. Complete the Removal
Click Remove user. The selected content is now safely with the new owner.
